Scholarship
Every other year, SGC awards a $1,500 scholarship to a second-year horticultural student at SMCC.
“Our students face many challenges on their path to creating a better life for themselves, their families and our community. Your generous donation provides a critical bridge to their success. We are reminded how important scholarships are not only to help our students prepare for their careers and gain new skills, but also to give them the encouragement to keep going! ”
Quoted from a thank you letter from SMCC Foundation staff
“When I first came to SMCC, all I had was passion and willingness to learn as much as I could about horticulture. This financial help allows me to cover the rest of my tuition and the cost of textbooks this semester. My continued education brings me one step closer to achieving my dream.”
